The Mountain Trail Challenge was created by mountain outdoor enthusiasts for

mountain outdoor enthusiasts. We are passionate and love what we do.

 

The MTC Challenge is not a race but a challenge against your

own personal best. 

 

  Our routes are varied in terrain and long distanced, designed to test your

physical endurance and contain some arduous sections to stretch your mental perseverance to the limit!

       MIKE -

       Since leaving the Parachute Regiment in 1991, he has walked and climbed all

       over the UK whenever he gets the opportunity. He has walked many munros in

       Scotland in the winter to avoid the midges, the Lake District and of course Wales.

 

       Mike has also raced mountain bikes in the past but tends to keep to walking now.

 

       Organising the annual Mountain Trail Challenge has now become a full time hobby

       for him with most of the time taken up by route planning and recognisance,

       liasing with the Mountain Rescue, Police, Marshals and a team of enthusiast Supporters

       without whom the event would not be possible.
